Cant do anything without registering. Deleted.

This app is good for helping me pick beers at the store. Problem is that it is a little cumbersome to always type in the name into the search bar and have to select the right beer. This app should strive to be like the "vivino" app, where you can take a picture of the wine label and it automatically scans and takes you to the beverage info and rating. Otherwise, I agree with above that the app needs to be cleaned up and be made to be more slick.

App was working well, but now I cant reply to threads. Would be nice if you could search the forums, rather than just for beers. Also would be nice if you could reply to particular replies, rather than just a general post.

Had this app for a while now with no problems until today when I opened and it had me re-login. Put in my user name and password and it just keeps reloading the same screen. Think it needs a tune-up and new version

Everyone seems to be hating on this app, but it seems good to me. All I wanted out of it was a quick way to 1. See my wants while Im at the store, like a shopping list 2. Quickly see the rating of a beer 3. Quickly rate an app People are complaining that this is a web app, but what possible features would it provide if while off line? The only thing that would work would be to see your list of reviewed beers and your list of wants, which isnt really much of a compelling reason to go to the trouble of making a real app. Edit: Im updating this app to mention that on the iPhone 6S there is a bug. The app causes the phone to switch to zoomed mode instead of standard mode. Very annoying, and it makes everything look huge.

A beer app that REQUIRES my birthday, gender, and location???? And if thats not bad enough the app looks to be put together by a rookie. I use safari to search beer info and it always pulls up Beer Advocate which quickly tells me the rating, ALC, and reviews. To bad this app is nothing like the web page. Very disappointed.

App is more like a non mobile version of a website than an actual app.

Requiring an account to use the app ? Screw that.

There is a ton of info on beers and breweries but its kind of tricky to access at times. Name search for a particular beer often brings up a group of beers that are not related. The biggest issue I have is the only option for showing my reviews is alphabetical by Brewer. This is cumbersome when going through hundreds of reviews. Also, when searching a brewery it doesnt show which beers Ive reviewed which the site does.

This app still lives in 2007

Its sort of shocking to see only a prompt to log in with nothing else visible. Might as well go to the site via browser.

Ive never used the app because I resent having to "register" and give out my email address before I know if I even want to use it. No thanks. Let me see and use the app and if I like it, then maybe Ill register.

Sorry, nope, not going to give you my email address for what looks like a bad phonegap implementation of your unresponsive website. Take out the registration requirement and Ill give you more stars.

Signed up on the website and downloaded the app. Its perfect for what I use it for which is track/rate the beers Ive had and find new beers. Ya you need to sign up with your email but you need to have an account to use it properly. 10/10 would download again

Crashes a lot, sometimes unresponsive in some spots (i.e. picking from popup list of pages in a forum thread sometimes an exercise in futility). And swipe jestures (forward/backpage) are not used, and should be. Otherwise its not terrible, it works and is informative, with plenty of active users. It just needs a facelift....asap. You have a burgeoning craft beer community, seize it with a better app dudes.

I first want to say that I love the BeerAdvocate website - in my opinion its the best out there. Its helpful, thorough, and an incredible source for fans of quality beer around the globe. The app falls so short of the website that I sometimes open the browser on my phone and avoid the app altogether. The app is slow; it freezes; it crashes; some links dont work; its not as seamless as the website. My main issue is that it takes entirely too long to load in the beginning and sometimes doesnt load at all. I would encourage BeerAdvocate to invest in the app. Get a solid app developer on board. Take it as seriously as you do the website - its a great idea and would be so helpful, but right now it requires much patience. Two stars instead of one because I like and respect BeerAdvocate and what they do.

Last thing I need to do is get more junk mail. Ill use the website or hope for another service to come out.

Big fan of beer advisor. Really helps you navigate all the craft choices out there. The app performs well on Verizon 5S (9.2). Starts up in <5 seconds. Search results come in around 2 seconds (non wifi). Faster and easier than navigating the website on Safari browser. Registration takes about a minute and is fairly simple. Not sure why people complain about that, this is an app focused on alcoholic beverages and should be age restricted. Overall the higher functions of the app could use some accessibility refinement, but I think its a great tool to help you figure out your next beer selection.

Must sign up and give out Email before using app. The last thing I trust even with my junk email address, is a app that I know nothing about. FAIL.
